The New Hyundai i20, Review

The New Hyundai i20, Review

So I just spent this past week driving the new Hyundai i20 Hatchback and here are my thoughts. I booked the car for a Film shoot in Langebaan then Simons Town and up Signal Hill and I must say  the drive from Cpt International Airport to all our destinations was pretty smooth in this car.

On Saturday afternoon I had a chance to test the cars speed as we had to rush to the airport and at 140kph the vehicle still grips nicely and feels stable and well composed, maintains comfort even on bumpy roads.

The performance is perfect for urban areas, it can get frustrating if you’re used to power on the highway because to overtake quickly you’d need to adjust the gears to pick up power.

The interior is nice and has lots of modern technology. The 8 inch hi resolution Touch Screen is my favourite feature. I had to fiddle a bit before finally connecting the BT audio though. There’s enough space for 4 people to sit comfortably. As tall as I am (1.8m), 4 of us had no issues and we still managed to pack film gear in the boot and on the back seat.

A full tank is around R600 ( depending on how much a liter is at that particular time ).
